About the Artwork:

The starting point for this painting, was a frivolous Lady Gaga video clip with a stage set that looked terribly artificial to me. My motivation here was to transform it into an epic landscape. The notion of the swimming pool is in itself artificial – a man made reservoir, in contrast with the endless ocean that is usually depicted in those type of kitschy paintings.
