About the Artwork:

In this surreal seascape painting, I aimed to create a hypnotic sense of infinite time and space. The presence of the asteroid and the purplish gradient skies suggests that this scene doesn't take place on Earth. I have a deep curiosity about extraterrestrial worlds and their landscapes, pondering whether they might bear any resemblance to our familiar planet.

It remains uncertain whether the floating asteroid in the sky merely hangs there, preserving the serenity, or if it's poised to crash into the sea, disrupting everything. In my paintings, I often play with the tension between peaceful, almost kitschy subject matter and an enigmatic quality. I also enjoy leaving room for interpretation. Are we witnessing a catastrophe waiting to happen, or is this a portrayal of endless serenity?
